Welcome to the
KISIHOUSE
The KISIHOUSE has served as the headquarters of the KISI – God’s singing kids since 2016 and has become a much-loved “second home” for many.
This is where we work and where some of us live together in a small community. Our KISI meetings also take place here regularly.

We welcome larger and smaller groups as well as individuals and families as guests here. There is a variety of possibilities: school country weeks, youth and confirmation weekends, singing weeks, youth group weeks, sports weeks, retreats, holidays, seminars, etc.

The premises are used and appreciated for day seminars, birthday parties and even weddings. The KISIHOUSE can be rented for a day or for a whole week.
Equipment
We create spaces for children to be, themselves provide them with training for life and pass on the Good News of hope through Jesus to them and with them, especially through songs and musicals. Every child should know and experience: “It’s good that you exist, there is so much in you, and it depends on you!”
The KISIHOUSE is also where the KISI employees work and where those who live together in a small community live. A specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapeutic medicine also has his surgery here.

Catering
The KISIHOUSE is basically a self-catering house. One large and/or two smaller kitchens are available. On request, we can provide breakfast and packed lunches, and in exceptional cases and by arrangement also other meals.
Activities in the
immediate vicinity
The KISIHOUSE is located in the heart of the Traunsee-Almtal vacation region. Many well-known excursion destinations in the Salzkammergut can be reached from here. Whether culture, nature, sport or gastronomy – there is something for everyone here! The nearby forest next to the Mühlbach stream or the Hochsteinalm are wonderful places to go for a walk. A bookable taxi connects the KISIHAUS with the “Josefsweg” pilgrimage route. The nearby riding stables offer the opportunity to experience the area on horseback. By the way: the public bathing area “Bräuwiese” on Lake Traunsee is just a 15-minute walk away. If you prefer to go higher, you can reach some mountains by car (Grasberg, Gmundnerberg), on foot (Traunstein, Sonnstein, …) or by cable car or e-bike (Grünberg, Feuerkogel).
Live with us
When you are a guest in our house, we invite you to participate in our communal life, especially in our meals and prayer times in the chapel.
If you wish, you can join us for a daily Holy Mass. We are also happy to offer the experience of a “Lectio Divina”.
Guests who would like to help us on a daily basis to beautify, clean, organize or repair the KISIHOUSE are always very welcome. Thank you to every helping hand!

FAQ
You must always bring your own sheets, bed linen and comforter cover. Available on request and for an additional charge.
We ask our guests not to bring their own drinks. Juice and water are available free of charge. Other drinks are available for purchase in the café.
Please only park in the designated parking spaces in front of or behind the KISIHOUSE.
We are always happy to welcome guests at our Holy Masses. We provide information about current Mass times via the WhatsApp group “Spiritual offers in the KISIHOUSE”, which you can access here. You can also find the current Mass times on this website.
We are happy to welcome guests at KISIHOUSE and would like to make it possible for many people to drop by. Sometimes it is difficult to welcome visitors due to meetings, working hours or similar, so we ask you to give us a quick call in advance to check whether it is convenient or to make an alternative appointment if necessary.
Yes, there are two family rooms (one double bed and one or two additional single beds). Please always check availability.
The public bathing meadow “Bräuwiese” in Traunkirchen is about 15 minutes’ walk from the KISIHOUSE and is also easily manageable with groups.
The “Traunkirchen” train station can be reached by car in 5 minutes and on foot in 20 minutes.
In the “Winkl” district of Traunkirchen, approx. 5 minutes by car from the KISIHOUSE, there is the Winkl bakery and a Hofer.
In Altmünster (approx. 10 minutes away by car) you will find further shopping facilities such as Spar, Billa or BIPA.
The sacristy in the KISIHOUSE is equipped for mass celebrations. Please contact us in advance if you plan to use it or if you need something special. Please bring your own wine and hosts.
Smoking is not permitted in the house or in the courtyard. Smoking is permitted in front of the house (with an ashtray).
There is a TV set in the seminar room to which a playback device can be connected via HDMI cable and in the common room there is the option of connecting a playback device to a projector with a screen. Sound reproduction (apart from the TV set or projector) must be brought along or agreed upon in advance.
